According to culinary experts, pilaf is best cooked in a cauldron and over a fire. But it will turn out just as delicious in a pot or even a frying pan. You just need to choose the right rice for the dish and add spices and meat.
Cook Yana shared a recipe for a delicious, crumbly pilaf with meat cooked in a pan on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- meat - 700 g
- long-grain rice - 400 g
- large carrots - 1 pc.
- onions - 2 pcs.
- garlic - 1 pc.
- water - 600 ml
- barberry, cumin, turmeric - 1 tsp
- salt
Method of preparation:
1. Rinse rice and cover with water for 1 hour.
2. Cut onions into half rings, the carrot into strips, and meat into medium cubes. Fry onions first, then add the meat, the carrot, salt, spices and garlic.
3. Pour 600 ml of boiling water and cover. Cook over low heat for 10 minutes until the meat is tender.
4. Add the rice and flatten it with a spoon. Pour boiling water about 2 cm above the rice and do not stir anymore. Leave the lid on!
