Mackerel is a very budget-friendly and healthy fish that can be baked, made into soup, and added to salads. To make it juicy, you need to marinate it properly, and beer is a good choice for this.
Cook Tetiana shared on Instagram a recipe for delicious baked mackerel with lemon and spices, which would be a great dinner option.
Ingredients:
- mackerel - 2-3 pcs.
- onion - 2 pcs.
- lemon juice - to taste
- salt and pepper - to taste
For the marinade:
- soy sauce - 3-4 tbsp. l.
- apple cider vinegar - 2 tbsp.
- garlic - 4 cloves
- dried ginger - 1 tsp. without a slide
- chili flakes - to taste
- sugar - 1 tsp.
- dark beer - 150 ml
Method of preparation:
1. Peel the mackerel, cut off the tail and fins, cut into two parts. Season with salt and pepper, pour lemon juice, leave for 20 minutes.
2. Cut the onion into rings and fry until transparent.
3. For the marinade: mix soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, chopped garlic, sugar, dry ginger, chili flakes, dark beer.
4. Put the fried onions in a baking dish, then the fish, pour the marinade over the fish, and cover with wet parchment. Cook in the oven for 30 minutes at 190 C, then remove the parchment and cook for another 20 minutes in the oven.
