It became known what impressed Michael Douglas in Ukraine

American actor and Basic Instinct star Michael Douglas attended the Fourth First Ladies and Gentlemen Summit in Kyiv, organized by First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska. The celebrity took his 24-year-old actor son Dylan along for the ride and visited the capital's sights with him.

For two days, the men were given small tours of the city, but Michael Douglas was most impressed not so much by the architecture as by one historical fact that Ukrainians are proud of. An OBOZ.UA correspondent visited the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen and told us what the actor said.

"It was a discovery for me that Kyiv is older than Moscow. I was told this at the Lavra," Douglas said.

Shortly before the summit, the star visited the Okhmatdyt children's hospital, which was hit by a Russian missile on July 8, visited the caves of the Kyiv Cave Monastery and the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II on the territory of the Motherland.

Yesterday, after arriving in Kyiv, Michael Douglas went to St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery, St. Michael's Square, Volodymyrska Hill Park and St. Andrew's Church. The actor was impressed by the beautiful architecture of the capital and was also interested in the history of Kyiv.

At the Fourth Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, the celebrity and his son participated in a discussion on child safety in the family. He joined the event as a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
