Where the star of "The In-Laws" disappeared for almost two years San Sanych, who supported Ukraine, what he says about meeting Zelenskyy and emigrating from Russia

Alexander Feklistov tells what he thinks about the war

Soviet and Russian actor Alexander Feklistov, best known for his role as Alexander Berkovich (San Sanych) in the TV series "The In-Laws," got in touch for the first time in a long time after emigrating from Russia. He was one of the first to support Ukrainians and call for a ceasefire from Russia.

His anti-Kremlin stance forced him to leave his homeland and move to Europe. There he continues his creative work. The Russian spoke about his experiences after February 24, 2022, in an interview with Yevhen Kiselyov on YouTube.

Feklistov admitted that he did not feel threatened by the state because of his support for Ukrainians, but he was punished by canceling all his performances. Left without a job, the artist did not change his mind and recorded words of support for his colleagues from Ukraine.

After refusing to participate in propaganda events and travel to the occupied Ukrainian cities, his career in Russia was finally over.

Feklistov said he had no choice but to emigrate. He now lives in Europe. Russian media claim that  "The In-Laws" star has found refuge in Barcelona, where he "plays in plays, all the money raised from which goes to help Ukrainians."

Recalling his past in the "Matchmakers" project, the actor denied that his acquaintance with Zelensky had anything to do with his desire to flee Russia.
