How 'X-Factor' united traitors of Ukraine and what Marchenko, Serioga, Yolka, and Sosiedov say about the war

Stars with pro-Russian views once appeared on 'X-Factor'

Perhaps no other entertainment project in Ukraine has become such a powerful center of pro-Russian artists and cultural figures as the X Factor on STB TV channel. It was those involved in the filming of this show who became involved in the most high-profile pro-Russian scandals after February 24, 2022.

Among those who worked on Ukrainian television but later sold out for rubles are the host Oksana Marchenko, the jury, and even members of the crew. OBOZ.UA decided to recall how they fell to the bottom in the eyes of Ukrainians.

Oksana Marchenko

For many years, the wife of Putin's godfather, pro-Russian MP Viktor Medvedchuk, was the face of the talent show. Back in 2014, it became clear that the host supported the Kremlin's policies and Russian propaganda narratives.

Then the wife of the traitor began to demonstrate her treasonous position herself. In particular, she found justifications for the occupation of Crimea and Donbas, guided by the propaganda manual about 'Russian people' in those regions.

The leader of the Boombox band, Andrii Khlyvnyuk, asked the show's producers to replace her, and Ihor Kondratyuk questioned her position, but the artist continued to work on Ukrainian TV until she finally sold out to Russia. She is now wanted by the SBU.

Mykola Sosin

Marchenko's friend, former chief music producer of STB, Nikolai Sosin, was spotted working on Belarusian talent projects X Factor Belarus, Factor.By and Factor.By-2 on the pro-government Belteleradiocompany channel.

Russian artists Olga Buzova and Seryoga, as well as Joseph Prigozhin and Sergei Sosedov, who support the genocide of Ukrainians, work with him there.

Serhii Sosiedov

From 2010 to 2015, Russian journalist and music critic Serhii Sosiedov was a judge on Ukrainian singing shows, including The X Factor, but now he has forgotten about his career in Ukraine and is promoting crazy lies about neo-Nazis in Kyiv.

On January 15, 2023, Sosedov was added to Ukraine's sanctions list for glorifying the aggression and atrocities of the Russian occupiers.

Yolka

A native of Uzhhorod, singer Yolka, who has also sat in the judge's chair of a talent show, sold out her people before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine and cynically performed in Sochi during the great war. There she performed several of her own hits in front of a crowd of Russians.

Viacheslav Uzelkov, a well-known Ukrainian boxer and fitness trainer, said that while working in Ukraine, the star treated her colleagues with disdain.

Serioga

Belarusian rapper Serioga, whose real name is Serhii Parkhomenko, received an indefinite residence permit in Ukraine in 2013, but he did not want to support the country during a full-scale war. Instead, the musician briefly disappeared from the information field and returned to Belarus.

There, the artist appeared on propaganda Belarusian TV as a jury on the adaptation of "X-Factor," which clearly demonstrates his political position.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the finalist of "The Voice" and "X Factor" appeared on the propaganda channel "Russia 1", and the winner of the first season of the show from Makiivka, Donetsk region, left for the United States.
