Miss Ukraine Universe 2023 representative, singer and volunteer Angelina Usanova, had a harsh and difficult childhood. She was brought up in a family of teachers, and her parents often humiliated her, harshly condemning her bad behavior and even destroying gifts they had just given her. In addition to the difficult experience of growing up, Usanova also experienced a large number of betrayals from her husband, which she forgave each time.

Miss Ukraine Universe 2023 spoke about her difficult relationship in a new interview with Slava Demin. As a child, dancing was her only consolation, and at a younger age, singing, but it was music that helped her escape from reality.

"I didn't like coming home. I loved to dance... In the rain. I felt so free in music, in dancing. It was my rebellion, my freedom, my expression," Usanova said.

Her parents' profession also greatly influenced her upbringing. They were more demanding about the singer's success at school and, as she claims, did not give her enough love.

"Being a child of teachers means always sitting up straight, it means that if you make a mistake in your notebook, your whole notebook is torn out, it means always being an excellent student, it means always being an example for others. It's a tough discipline and not a lot of love. My dad could have broken my birthday present that he gave me. He was upset that I had behaved somehow," says Angelina.

By the way, her parents did not hold back their emotions and told the young future representative of Ukraine at Miss Universe 2023 everything they were thinking about at the time. The singer eventually reflected on her childhood traumas, but it took her about three years.

"I was called things like 'you're a disgrace' and so on when there were moments in my studies or behavior. 'You're a disgrace,' 'you're shit,' 'you're nobody'... It took me about three years of working with a psychologist to get past this record in the background, which always tells me these words that I heard as a child. It took a lot of strength for the inner me, the inner Angelina, to say: no, you are not like that, no, you are the best, no, you are kind, no, you are talented. I found a strength in myself that was stronger than the voices of my parents in my childhood," Angelina said.

However, despite the situation, her brother always tried to protect and reassure her:"My brother is a hero to me, he has always protected me. He is two years younger than me, but he has always been my support. It's the same now."

Later, a new problem arose in Usanova's life: her husband cheated on her with her best friend. She could not believe that she had lost her loved one, but when her personal belongings were left behind the door of the shared apartment, she had to accept it. In particular, the man told her about the betrayal on his own when the singer was in another city.

"We were very young when we met. I was 17, he was 22. We broke a lot of wood together. They already have children, they have a family. I found out about the betrayal by phone when I was in covid. They called me and said: "That's it, Natalia lives in our house. We are in a relationship." And I was in Kyiv at the time. I don't believe it. I gave him the opportunity to put himself together, to understand what he was doing, until the very end. I was ready to accept any decision he made. He packed his things in cardboard boxes and sent them to me. After that, we met to sign the divorce papers and saw each other once in the store," the volunteer said.

However, she noted that this was not the first time she had been unfaithful. Usanova knew about all the previous women and forgave them each time.

As we previously reported, Angelina Usanova represented Ukraine at Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador, but did not make it to the top 20. Moreover, at the contest, the organizers put her at the same table as the Russian girl, but the singer did not sit down, but only looked displeased.
