Yanina Mikhailovna Sokolova is a Ukrainian journalist, actress and television presenter.
A brief biography of Yanina Sokolova
Yanina Sokolova was born in Zaporozhye, March 6, 1984.
Yanina Sokolova received her first higher education - as a psychologist at Zaporozhye National University, and her second, acting, in Kiev, at the University named after Karpenko-Karogo. Her second degree was in acting at Kiev's Karpenko-Karogo University.
Yanina Sokolova started her journalistic career in the newspaper "Telesity" in Zaporizhzhya.
Later she worked at the newspaper "Zaporizhska Sich" and in 2000-2001 was a trainee on TV5 channel, where she made weather forecast.
In 2003 she was employed by Luhansk channel "Lot TV", where she hosted the TV show "All the money in the world".
In 2004 Yanina Sokolova joined the Kiev Free Theatre where she was an actress and worked on stage till 2006.
Since 2006, she returned to television - she worked on "Inter", hosted "Snidanok z 1+1", and in 2009 she wentto "Channel 5", where she hosted "Morning on Channel 5" and "Cinema with Yanina Sokolova".
In 2015 Yanina Sokolova started her authoring program "Rendezvous with Yanina Sokolova".

Yanina Sokolova's anti-propaganda project, the main purpose of which is to combat the fakes of Russian propaganda and the Kremlin media. It airs on YouTube, as well as on the ATR TV channel.
"An Evening with Yanina Sokolova" is broadcast marked 18+ because of the abundance of foul language, as well as the humorous, but often quite scandalous presentation of material. For instance, in one of the programs Yanina Sokolova was shown "naked", and a joke about "Russian TV and panties" managed to become a meme in the Ukrainian segment of the Internet.
Currently, the "Evening with Janina Sokolova" channel already has almost a quarter of a million subscribers.
Rendezvous with Yanina Sokolova
Yannina Sokolova's project is a series of personal interviews with famous politicians, businessmen and other media personalities. In addition to candid conversations, at the end of each such interview the guest goes through a short blitz questionnaire, which includes so-called "uncomfortable" questions.
The project is broadcast on Channel 5, and can also be watched online on YouTube.
Such famous and even odious personalities as Mikhail Dobkin, Ulyana Suprun, Petro Poroshenko and Roman Skrypin, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk and Mikhail Saakashvili, Anastasia Prikhodko and Marusya Zvirobiy have visited the "Rendezvous " program.

In 2019, Yanina Sokolova stunned the public with her announcement: it turned out that she had been sick with cancer for the past seven months, but managed to overcome it and successfully cured, without giving any indication that she was sick.
Yanina Sokolova also announced the launch of the "I, Nina" project , dedicated to the fight against cancer.
