Brief biography
Viktor Leonenko was born in Tyumen, October 5, 1969.
Played in the sports school of the FC Geologist (Tyumen).
Since 1986 he played for the main team of the "Geologist" until 1991, when he was invited by the Moscow club "Dynamo".
Already in 1992, due to disagreements with the coach "ran away" to FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv).
However, because of the problematic transition he could not play for Dynamo in the first Championship of Ukraine.
Rehabilitated in the second championship, scored a total of 16 goals and earned the title of second scorer of the championship.
In 1992 he joined the national team of Ukraine. He was the first player in the history of the team, who received a red card.
In 1997 due to the conflict with Valeriy Lobanovskiy he left the main team of FC "Dynamo" (Kyiv). He was transferred first to Dynamo-2, and later to CSKA (Kyiv).
In 2002, playing for the club Zakarpattya he finished his career of a soccer player.
He played as a soccer expert on the television channel "2 +2" in the popular show "ProfitFootball" and also on the channel "Football" in the TV show "Popular Football".

Viktor Leonenko is married. He and his wife, a Khmelnytskyi woman Olena, have a daughter Alesya, a graduate of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture.
The scandal with Surkis and Akhmetov
In the summer of 2013, Viktor Leonenko said in a live broadcast on the television channel "2 +2" that Rinat Akhmetov, president of FC "Shakhtar" (Donetsk) can buy everything and agree on everything. After that he went on the air, calling Ihor Surkis, the president of FC Dynamo (Kyiv) stupid for paying out huge sums to his players for their poor play.
Soon after this broadcast the managers of the channel publicly apologized to both Surkis and Akhmetov and said they were ending cooperation with Viktor Leonenko as a soccer expert.
