Rescuers extinguish fire on the roof of a high-rise building

On Sunday night, May 20, a fire broke out on the roof of a multi-storey residential building in Kyiv as a result of the fall of the wreckage of a downed kamikaze drone. As a result, damage was found in 4 apartments.

"Last night, on May 20, the enemy made another attack on Kyiv. Preliminary, the fall of debris was recorded in the Dniprovskyi, Solomianskyi, Pecherskyi and Darnytskyi districts. Rescuers extinguished a fire in the Dnipro district of the capital on the roof of a 9-storey residential building. The rescue service received a call at 1:22 am. The fire was extinguished at 4:06 a.m. over a total area of 80 square metres. Damage was found in 4 apartments," the press service said.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The SES added that there were no fires at other addresses. There were no casualties or injuries as a result of these incidents.

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on the night of Saturday, May 20, explosions occurred in Kyiv and Kyiv region during a Russian attack with kamikaze drones. The air defence forces shot down the enemy targets, but the falling debris caused a fire and a number of damages in several districts of the capital.
