The manufacturer of Durex and Vanish changed its mind about leaving Russia: what is known
The British giant Reckitt Benckiser has decided to stay in Russia, despite its own statements about leaving the market of the aggressor country. The company produces pharmaceuticals (Nurofen, Strepsils), household chemicals (Vanish, Finish, Calgon, Air Wick), cosmetics (Veet, Clearasil), and Durex condoms.
At the same time, CEO Laxman Narasimhan has already left the company, Bloomberg reported. It was under his leadership that Reckitt Benckise was going to leave Russia. Now, according to the Russian media, Reckitt Benckiser no longer plans to transfer or close its Russian business.
Sources in Russia say that all categories of goods are being produced and supplied in the same way as before. According to their information, the new Reckitt Benckiser management has not made any decisions regarding Russia.
Earlier, another major British manufacturer, Unilever, was included in the list of international sponsors of the war. The company owns more than 400 brands, including Domestos, Dove, Rexona, Axe, Persil, Lipton, Knorr and Hellmann's.
Being included in the list threatens the company with serious reputational losses at the global level, and the company has already made a statement and started to justify itself. Reckitt Benckiser may become the next British giant on the list.
