The optimal air temperature for most indoor plants is between +18 and +24 degrees Celsius. Although each of them requires an individual approach and a certain amount of water and light, almost all flowers in flowerpots will be comfortable in these conditions.

This was reported by Express, citing the advice of Nick Woodward, founder of Essential Living, an apartment rental company (UK). "Temperatures that are slightly outside this range will not cause any harm," he said.

However, if the thermometer in the room drops below +10, many flowers may not survive it, the expert emphasized.

At the same time, some indoor plants are more tolerant of low temperatures. These include the quite popular sansevieria, which Ukrainians call "mother-in-law's tongue" and the British call "snake plant." According to Woodward, even though sansevieria is quite hardy to temperature conditions, it requires minimal maintenance.

In addition, many indoor plants need cooler temperatures in the evening. Especially those from tropical countries - they like it 10 degrees cooler at night than during the day.

Woodward also gave other tips for growing homegrown flowers.

"One of the biggest problems is a lack of moisture, so daily spraying will help to preserve this moisture," the expert said.

It should also be remembered that most indoor plants need less water in winter. During the cold months, they grow more slowly, and some even hibernate completely. Therefore, excessive watering can lead to root rot.

It is also very important that your plants receive the optimal amount of sunlight. If there is a lack of natural light in the room, you can use artificial light.
