Homemade cutlets are a very good dish for a delicious lunch, as well as for a festive table. You can make them from different meats, as well as from fillets, fish, legumes, and vegetables. To make the cutlets juicy and soft, bake them in the oven for about 10 minutes after frying.
Cook Valentyna Saienko shared a recipe for delicious, juicy chicken cutlets with cheese filling on Instagram.
Ingredients:
- Minced chicken – 1 kg
- Large onion – 1 pc.
- Salt, pepper – to taste
- Breadcrumbs – 2 tbsp.
For the filling:
- Cream cheese – 150 g
- Hard mozzarella (or any hard cheese) – 150 g
- Greens – 1 small bunch
- Garlic – 1 clove.
For the breading:
- Breadcrumbs
- Flour
- Eggs – 2 pcs.
Method of preparation:
1. Add the grated onion to the prepared minced meat on a fine grater. Add pepper, salt and breadcrumbs. The minced meat should be thick. If it is thin, just add more breadcrumbs.
2. Filling: chop the herbs, grate the garlic or chop finely, add the cream cheese, grated cheese, and mix thoroughly.
3. Divide the minced meat into 10 equal parts. Moisten your hands with water and put the minced meat in your hand, make a thin pancake, put 30 g of the filling, and close it to form a cutlet.
4. Dip the cutlets in flour, then in beaten eggs, then in breadcrumbs. Fry until golden brown. Put the finished cutlets in a baking dish and cook in the oven for 10 minutes at 180°C.
