Yuriy Boyko (Advisor to the Prime Minister)
Yuriy Boyko is an advisor to the Prime Minister of Ukraine, former Deputy Minister of Energy.
Brief biographyYuriy Boyko was born in 1972 in the city of Rivne.
He was educated at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, where he graduated in 1995 with a degree in Automatic Control of Electric Power Systems, qualification - electrical engineer.
Subsequently, he also graduated from the International Institute of Management and the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He has a Master's degree in Business Administration and qualification of a specialist-lawyer.
He has worked as a power engineer, electrical engineer and inspector of the Energy Supervision Inspectorate.
Since 2003 he started to work in managerial positions: Director of Brovary district of electric networks of JSC "A.E.S. Kyivoblenergo"; Head of Project Management, Deputy Director of Production for operation of distribution networks, Director of Production for work on loss reduction, Director of Capital Construction of the Department of Operations of JSC "A.E.S. Kyivoblenergo".
He was Technical Director and then Vice President of Metropolia Management Company LLC.
Worked as Technical Director of Engineering Company New Energy Technologies LLC.
He was Acting Chairman of the Management Board and then Chairman of the Management Board of Chernigovoblenergo.
In 2014-2020, he was Deputy Director for Economics and Finance at Energorynok State Enterprise.
Ministry of EnergyIn May 2020, Boyko was appointed Deputy Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection. On April 28, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed him acting Minister, the very next day the Verkhovna Rada appointed a new Minister, returning Boyko to the position of Deputy.
