Brief biography

Childhood

Yuri Shatunov was born in the city of Kumertau, in Bashkiria, on September 6, 1973.

Shortly after Shatunov was eleven years old, his mother tragically died. His father neglected his upbringing, so for a long time Yuri Shatunov was homeless.

In 1985 he got into the orphanage of Orenburg. It was there, on the basis of a creative circle, that the musical group "Laskovy May" was created.

Until 1988, the group was limited only to performances in the district house of culture. But in 1988, "Laskovy May" moved to Moscow, where the group's performances became incredibly popular. Up to 1991 the group could give up to eight concerts per day.
