Viktor Anatolievich Shenderovich is a Russian blogger and human rights activist.

Brief biography

Viktor Shenderovich was born in Moscow, August 15, 1958.

Graduated from the Theater Studio of Oleg Tabakov.

Higher education (theater director) received at the Moscow Institute of Culture.

For seven years he worked as a teacher at GITIS.

In 1992 he went to work in television. He started with the ORT TV channel, where he acted as a scriptwriter for two TV documentaries. Later he moved to NTV, where he hosted the popular program "Total".

He was both author and presenter of various television projects on such channels as TV-6, TVS and RTVi.

Since 2003 he has been working withRadio Liberty, where he was the author of the project "Everybody is Free". At the same time, he worked withEkho Moskvy, where he hosted the program "Melted Cheese".

Since 2017, he has been running the television monthly "Shenderovich as it is" on the opposition Russian TV channel "Dozhd".

Viktor Shenderovich is married. His wife is Lyudmila Chubarova. Raises a daughter Valentina.

He was one of the signatories of the public letter "Putin must go" in 2010.

In 2014, he actively protested against Russian aggression: the annexation of Crimea, the invasion of the Ukrainian Donbass and support for L/DNR terrorists.

In 2015, he was included by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine in the so-called "white list" of representatives of creative professions who are in favor of the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
