Rebel Wilson was born on March 2, 1980 in Sydney, Australia.
Wilson trained in Australian teenage theater.
She gained popularity with her breakthrough role as Brynn in the 2011 comedy film Bridesmaids. However, it was her role as Fat Amy in the movie The Perfect Voice that brought her international recognition. Her portrayal of the confident and fun-loving Amy brought her wide recognition and made her a household name.
Apart from her work in movies, Wilson has also appeared in various television shows and voiced animated movies. She is known for her sharp wit, sense of humor and fearless approach to comedy.
Personal life
In June 2022, Wilson committed a cammingout after admitting that she was in a relationship with Ramona Agruma.
The actress also spoke candidly about her struggles with being overweight.
In 2024, Wilson released a memoir in which she admitted that she lost her virginity at the age of 35.
