Michel Barnier
Michel Barnier (MichelBarnier ) is the Prime Minister of France (since September 2024), a French politician, statesman and diplomat.
Brief biography
Michel Barnier was born on January 9, 1951 in the French municipality of La Tronche.
He was educated at the Higher Commercial School in Paris.
Later he was a deputy of the Chamber of Deputies of the French Parliament.
In 1993-1995 he was Minister of Environment of France.
From 1995 to 1997 he served as Secretary of State for European Affairs in the French Government.
In 2004-2005 he was Minister of Foreign Affairs of France.
From 2007 to 2009 he was Minister of Agriculture of France.
Subsequently, he became a member of the European Parliament and was European Commissioner for Internal Trade from 2010 to 2014.
Barnier was appointed Prime Minister by French President Emmanuel Macron in September 2024.

Barnier is married and has three children.
