
Kieran Culkin
Kieran Culkin is an American actor. He is an Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner. Brother of Macaulay Culkin.
Brief Biography
Kieran Culkin was born on September 30, 1982.
He is best known for his role as Roman Roy in the HBO drama series The Heirs (2018-2023) and as a free-spirited drifter in Jesse Eisenberg's comedy-drama film True Grief (2024).
These works earned him several awards, including two Golden Globe Awards and a primetime Emmy Award.
Culkin began his career as a child actor and made his feature film debut alongside his older brother, Macaulay Culkin, in Home Alone (1990).
He had small roles in Father of the Bride (1991) and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992) before getting his first major role in The Giant (1998).
After appearing in "It's All Her" (1999) and "Vintners Rules" (1999), Culkin got his breakout role as a sarcastic teenager in the independent film "Igby Goes Down" (2002), which earned him a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actor.
He subsequently took a break from screen work due to personal conflicts, acting mostly on stage.
He won an Obie Award for Gina Gionfriddo's play After Ashley (2005).
He has occasionally appeared in movies, playing Wallace Wells in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and a minor role in Margaret (2011).
Culkin is widely recognized for his work in the TV series The Heirs, as well as for his work in the film True Grief (2024).
Personal life
Culkin dated actresses Anna Paquin and Emma Stone, with whom he still maintains a friendly relationship.
Culkin met his future wife Jezz Churton Culkin in a New York City bar in 2012.
They started dating soon after and got married on June 22, 2013 in Iowa during a cross-country road trip.
They have two children together, a daughter born in September 2019 and a son born in August 2021.
Culkin has developed a friendly relationship with fellow Heirs series co-star Sarah Snook, who is their son's godmother.
