Jamie Lee Curtis, Baroness Hayden-Guest is an American actress, producer and children's author. Early in her career, she gained popularity as a "scream queen", starring in horror and slasher films - particularly Hallowe'en and its many sequels.
At the same time, the actress showed her talent and in comedic roles.
During her career, Curtis has received numerous awards, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and two Golden Globe Awards, as well as nominations for two Emmy Awards and a Grammy Award.
She made her television debut in 1977 in an episode of the NBC drama series "Quincy, M.E." and later played her first big movie role - playing the title character in John Carpenter's horror film "Hallowe'en."
