Elizabeth Mary Tr uss is a British politician, representative of the Conservative Party, and former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Brief biography

Elizabeth Truss was born on July 26, 1975 in Oxford, England.

She received her higher education at the University of Oxford.

Worked as an economist. She was also deputy director of the Reform think tank.

In 2012-2014 she was Deputy Minister of Education and was responsible for education and childcare.

In 2014-2016, she was Minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs in David Cameron's government.

From September 15, 2021, she has been appointed Foreign Secretary.

Prime Minister

On September 5, 2022, Truss was elected leader of the Conservative Party, and a day later was appointed as the country's new Prime Minister. Following the scandal surrounding her government's financial plan, Trass announced on October 20 of the same year that she would resign.

Her tenure as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom became the shortest in the history of the kingdom.
