Born February 12, 1969, Brooklyn, New York, USA.
American film director, screenwriter and producer. Oscar nominee for the film Black Swan (2011).
In 1998, he released his feature debut, the surrealist thriller Pi, which won a directing prize at the Sundance Independent Film Festival.
His subsequent works - "Requiem for a Dream," "The Fountain," "The Wrestler" - were also very well received by critics. And "Black Swan" starring Natalie Portman became the apotheosis of his directing career.
