Boris Albertovich Filatov is the city mayor of Dnipro.
Boris Filatov was born in Dnipropetrovsk on March 7, 1972.
Filatov received his higher education at the Oles Gonchar Dnipro National University, from which he graduated in 1993.
For a long time, Boris Filatov worked in law. At first as a legal consultant. Later he taught Civil Law at the Ukrainian Customs Service Academy.
In 2000, Boris Filatov was licensed as a lawyer.
Repeatedly represented in courts the interests of well-known Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoysky.
In 2005 Boris Filatov began his journalistic career. He hosted the TV-project "Governor Chronicles" on the "Ninth Channel", a regional TV channel of the city of Dnipropetrovsk. In 2010, he moved to DOGTRK, where he hosted "Governor Forecasts.
In 2014, he spoke out against the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, calling to "hang the occupants.
In the same year, Boris Filatov was appointed deputy head of the new Dnipropetrovsk region, Igor Kolomoysky.
In the early elections to the Ukrainian parliament, which were held in 2014, Boris Filatov successfully passed to the Verkhovna Rada and received the mandate of the People's Deputy of Ukraine. He was an unaffiliated deputy in the Verkhovna Rada.
In 2014, Boris Filatov was awarded the Order of Ukraine "For Merits" III degree.
In 2015, he ran for mayor of Dnipro from the UKROP party. He won in the second round, taking the chair of the mayor.
In 2018, he left the political force UKROP.
