Zlata Ognevich

Zlata Leonidovna Ognevich (born Inna Bordyug) is a Ukrainian singer, the representative of Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, the people's deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation. Honored Artist of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The main character of the second season of the show "The Bachelorette".

Brief biography

Zlata Ognevich was born on January 12, 1986 in the city of Murmansk. Her parents are a military surgeon Leonid Bordyug and a teacher Galina Bordyug.

She lived with her family in Leningrad and Minsk, and at the age of 5, she moved to Sudak in Crimea, where she began studying music.

In 2004 she entered the Kiev Glier Institute of Music. In 2004, she was admitted to the Glier Music Institute, Kiev, Russia. Received a specialization in jazz vocal. During her studies she was a member and vocalist of the State Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

She began her career as a singer in 2010 with the song "Island of Love".

In December 2012, she won the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Gravity" and in May 2013, she reached the final of the song contest, taking third place as a result.

In November 2013 she was a co-host of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, which was held in Kiev.

In 2014 Ognevich and her parents spoke out in support of Euromaidan and against the Russian occupation of the peninsula of Crimea. The singer's parents refused to take Russian passports. Ognevich also broke the contract under which she had been the face of the Crimea advertising campaign since 2012.

In 2014, Zlata Ognevich received an award in the category "Singer of the Year" of the national rating "Favoriti Uspihu".

In 2018 she was a member of the show "Dancing with the Stars" on the TV channel "1+1", where her partner was Dmitry Zhuk. According to voting results, the couple left the show already after the second broadcast.

The singer's debut album was released in December 2018. The album "Grani" included eight songs, including the folk song "Chom ti ne priyshov", performed in a modern arrangement.

Politics

In November 2014 Ognevich became a people's deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the VIII convocation. In the elections she was #4 on the list of Oleg Lyashko's Radical Party. In parliament she was the head of the subcommittee on creative activities, art, cultural and educational policy of the VR Committee on Culture and Spirituality.

In November 2015, from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada she announced the resignation of the people's deputy.

In 2021, Zlata Ognevich was a member of the show "Mask", where she performed in the image of "Raven". Her image was revealed during the ninth episode of the show.

On April 29, it became known that Zlata Ognevich became the main character of the second season of the show "Bachelorette" on STB.

Ognevich said that she goes to the "Bachelorette" to meet the man of her dreams and create a family.
