TheVerkhovna Rada of the ninth convocation at its first session approved Volodymyr Borodyanskyy as head of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Volodymyr Borodyansky resigned on March 4, 2020.

Volodymyr Borodyansky is single. According to rumors in some media, he was even repeatedly agitated to take part in the project "The Bachelor".

He was born in Lviv region, January 15, 1974. Borodyanskiy received his higher education at the Economic National University of Kiev, where he successfully graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Finance in 1997. Borodyanskiy started his professional career in journalism, in 1998 he took the position of commercial director of the publication "Moskovsky Komsomolets in Ukraine". However, in 2000 he partially moved to the banking industry and became the Head of Media Asset Management at Alfa Bank. In this position Volodymyr Borodyanskyi was engaged in realization of such well-known projects in Ukraine as "New Channel" and "Nashe Radio". In 2004, Borodyansky headed STB TV channel, becoming its General Director, and in 2012 he took over the management of the entire media group StarLightMedia. In 2018, Vladimir Borodyansky stopped cooperation with both the TV channel and StarLightMedia. In July 2019, shortly after his inauguration, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Volodymyr Borodyansky as his freelance advisor.
