Princess Josephine of Denmark, Countess of Monpeza (born Josephine Sofia Ivalo Mathilde) is a member of the Danish royal family. Together with her twin brother Prince Vincent, she is the youngest child of King Frederick X and Queen Consort Mary.

Brief biography

Josephine was born on January 8, 2011 in Copenhagen 26 minutes after her twin brother Vincent.

The princess's name was announced as Josephine Sofia Ivalo Matilda. Her third name, Ivalo, is Greenlandic. It comes from the region of Kaanaak, which was visited by her father Frederick during the Sirius 2000 polar expedition.

In August 2014 in Greenland, Josephine and her family participated in a tree planting in Kakortok's new poplar grove, Ivalos og Miniks Poppellund, named after Josephine and her brother, known in Greenland under their Greenlandic names.

As of 2017, Josephine and her twin brother went to Tranegårdsskolen School in Gentofte, the same public school as her older sibling.

From September 2023, Josephine continued her education at Kildegård Privatskole in Hellerup.

Josephine goes by the name of Princess Josephine of Denmark, Countess of Monpez.
