Allison Hannigan

Allison Lee Hannigan was born on March 24, 1974, in Washington, D.C., in Washington, DC. Her father (Alberta Hannigan) worked as a driver and her mother (Emily Posner) was a real estate agent. However, when Ella was two years old her parents divorced and the girl and her mother moved to Atlanta (Georgia).

She got into the world of television at the age of 4 years old, when she began to star in commercials. After a while, her family moved first to Atlanta and then to California. Thus, Alison had a great opportunity to audition for more roles.

At the age of 14, she first appeared on the big screen in the movie "My Stepmother is an Alien" ("My Stepmother is an Alien"), in which the role of a friend of her character played by her future colleague on the series "Buffy" Seth Green (performer Oz). Despite her numerous works in film and television, Alison came to fame after she got the role of Willow Rosenberg in the series "Buffy". After that, she began to receive offers to participate in more serious projects.

On the big screen, Alison gained popularity after the release of the youth comedy trilogy "American Pie". On the set of Buffy, she met her future husband Alexis Denisof (played the role of Wesley). The wedding took place on October eleventh, 2003 in Desert Hot Spring. At the ceremony were colleagues on the series Emma Caulfield, Nicholas Brandon, Anthony Stewart Head.

Hannigan played as well in three episodes of Angel. In 2004 Hannigan made her debut, starring in the title role in the adaptation of When Harry Met Sally at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London's West End. Alison returned to TV series in 2005, first as a guest actress in a guest role in Veronica Mars (2004). Then joined the main cast in the popular sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" (2005 - ...), where she played the role of Lily Aldrin. Despite being busy on television Hannigan starred in a big movie - in 2006, she played a role in "Date Movie". Twenty-fourth March 2009 (on his thirty-five years) Alison gave birth to a daughter Satya.

Alison's favorite hobby is soccer (and although she was injured playing it as a child, she still doesn't mind a little bit of soccer). She also enjoys watching classic movies. Alison is computer savvy, and while not as computer savvy as her character, she is still savvy enough to surf the internet, visit her fans' websites, and leave them wishes.

She met her future husband, Alexis Denisof, on the set of the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, where Alexis played Wesley Wyndham-Price.

The actors began dating in early 2000, and in December 2002 announced their engagement. The wedding took place on October 11, 2003.

On March 24, 2009, on her birthday, Alison gave birth to a daughter, Satya.

In December 2011, Alison Hannigan's representative announced that the couple was expecting their second child.
