In Ukraine, salaries for a number of specialists have been sharply increased: due to the shortage of personnel, wages reached record levels
In Ukraine, salaries have increased by 22% over the year, up to UAH 22.5 thousand, according to major HR portals. For some specialties, salaries have increased more significantly. These include medical directors, heating engineers, credit experts, etc.
This is stated in the statistics of work.ua. At the same time, the most popular vacancy is a sales assistant. The average salary for such specialists is UAH 19 thousand. The second place is occupied by a sales manager (UAH 30 thousand), and the third is occupied by a driver (average salary of UAH 29 thousand). The main factor behind the salary growth is the shortage of personnel.
Who had the biggest salary increases:
- Real estate manager – UAH 70,000 (+69%)
- Medical director – UAH 45,000 (+64%)
- Heat engineer – UAH 36,500 (+62%)
- Credit expert – 23 500 UAH (+57%)
- Driving school instructor – 35,000 UAH (+56%)
- Store chain manager – 31,000 UAH (+55%)
- Driver-instructor – 35,000 UAH (+52%)
- Distribution line employee – 21,000 UAH (+52%)
- Organizer – 17,500 UAH (+52%)
- Housekeeper – UAH 24,000 (+45%)
As reported by OBOZ.UA, the minimum wage in Ukraine in 2025 will be less than the actual subsistence level and will amount to only 32.8% of the average salary. This is a critically low figure. According to Eurostat, in the EU, the minimum wage as of the end of last year ranged from 477 euros in Bulgaria to 2571 euros in Luxembourg. And this is even though social standards have been raised in many countries since January 2025.
In Ukraine, given the current euro exchange rate, the minimum wage is only 182.2 euros. This is the lowest figure among all European countries. For example, in neighboring Moldova, the minimum wage is 212.84 euros in equivalent. In the EU, several countries have a minimum wage above 1,500 euros. These countries include, for example, Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and France. Their national minimum wage ranged from 1767 euros in France to 2571 euros in Luxembourg.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA reported that artificial intelligence could replace about 40% of jobs in the world in the future. At the same time, AI is likely to affect 60% of jobs in developed economies and 26% in low-income countries, which will also affect the inequality between countries.
